Salary: From £25,500 - £32,000 Per Annum (based on experience)

Contract Type: 1 x Permanent Contract & 1 x 12 Month Fixed Term Contract

Overview of project/role 

This role is responsible for the delivery and administration of onboarding processes and transactions within Employee Services. They will play a role in embedding, and ensuring adherence and compliance to new and existing Employee Services (Onboarding) H2R processes. The Onboarding Adviser will also drive continuous improvement initiatives, including the encouragement of self service for employees and embrace change initiatives to perform in line with new processes and with appropriate governance.

 

Key Accountabilities 

  • Manage the end to end onboarding process, answering or escalating, where appropriate, any questions from the business or new joiner
  • Coordinate all pre-employment screening activities, both internally and alongside our 3rd party provider, to ensure compliance with Tfl requirements
  • Provide continuous engagement with future employees pushing communication, documents and training prior to the employee joining
  • Enter all data into all relevant HR systems in a timely, accurate and consistent manner and ensure that all documentation is maintained and stored within data protection guidelines
  • Act as a control and processor of employee transactions and flag transactions to relevant parties where required for further investigation
  • Take ownership and resolve all Employee Services service requests, ensuring customer expectations have been met, managing workload through various channels
  • Use available technology effectively to access relevant employee lifecycle content to resolve customer issues
  • Contribute towards continuous improvements, using process analysis tools to map and analyse end-to-end processes, understand blockages with a view to identifying means of improving performance, efficiency, reducing costs and improving customer satisfaction
  • Act in a positive manner by demonstrating continuous performance improvement, solid business skills and support of department/company objectives
  • Be part of the team taking responsibility for driving required cultural attributes across the team, including focus on compliance and service delivery, customer service excellence, and a focus on controlled continuous improvement
  • Deliver on agreed metrics for Employee Services

 

Knowledge

  • Knowledge of Recruitment and Onboarding processes
  • Knowledge of the internal relationships and interfaces necessary for TfL Employee Services to operate
  • Knowledge of Employee Lifecycle processes

 

Skills

  • Strong attention to detail
  • Good communication skills with both internal and external stakeholders
  • Basic proficiency with IT Office
  • Understands the legal, regulatory and policy parameters which guide recruitment, resourcing and talent
  • Knows how to maintain and monitor HR systems to ensure accuracy of data
  • Knows how to deliver against service level agreements and can track performance against agreed metric
  • Accurately inputs data and can identify ways to improve entry
  • Has an understanding of employee lifecycle and HR policies and procedures and their application in the business and is able to communicate with a variety of audiences to ensure they are understood

 

Experience

  • Experience of onboarding
  • Experienced professional of working in a Business Services environment
  • Professional qualification (such as CIPD or equivalent) is preferable but not essential
  • Experience of monitoring service level agreements
  • Experience of managing workflow across different channels (telephony/ email etc)

As a fixed term contractor we can offer you a choice of pension arrangements. If you choose not to take our final salary pension scheme you will be paid an allowance on top of your salary, subject to Tax and National Insurance. We will share all the details with you at offer stage and the choice will be yours based on your circumstances. Depending on what you choose you can add up-to 14% to your salary.

Hybrid working within this role enables a balance of 50 per cent of time split between the office and home over a 4 week period. Hybrid working arrangements can evolve subject to business requirements.
