Salary: Up to £32,500 (Based on Experience)

Overview of Role
The role is responsible for the delivery of existing reporting through to the building and maintenance of dashboards / reports primarily in PowerBI, supplying high quality and prompt outputs for both the Business and the Reporting team. The role assesses report requests received from the business and applies the Reporting Policy to approve or escalate the requests as well as undertaking requirements gathering. The scope of the role includes supporting the Business and Reporting Team to deliver improvements in data quality and reporting efficiency, adopting a continuous improvement methodology and delivering a best-in-class service to the business.
Although the following should serve as an insight into the role there are plenty of areas to develop in technically (the ability to develop power automate routines, build powerapps and to develop skills in PowerBI, both in desktop and in Service) are just some examples. Equally, with time your knowledge of people and financial reporting within TfL will grow.
Main Accountabilities
- Running reports to the agreed quality standards to support the business
- Assisting with Report building as and when required
- Performing data reconciliation to ensure the quality of report outputs
- Gatekeeping requests for reports and amendments received from the business and escalating where necessary
- Holding discussions with requestors to understand requests and users’ needs
- Identifying opportunities for improvements within the reports and the team’s performance
- Communicating with stakeholders to resolve data issues and pro-actively seeking solutions to problems
- Maintaining internal team logs, business facing catalogues, and the team portal
- Updating internal trackers to ensure the prompt progression and escalation of requests
Skills, Knowledge & Experience
Skills
- High level of attention to detail and accuracy - Essential
- PowerBI or other visualisation software - Desirable
- Ideally advanced Excel (Macros, VBA, Power Query) - Essential
- Proficient user of Desktop Automate and/or Power Automate (Cloud) - Essential
- Familiar user in all standard MS (Microsoft) office Applications and/or Microsoft 365 - Essential
- Skilled at applying rules-based policy to situations and requests – Desirable
- Logical and methodical approach to problem solving - Essential
Knowledge
- Understanding of databases and ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) systems, particularly SAP – Essential
- Aware of techniques to interpret, probe variances and present data – Essential
- Familiar with of analytical and reporting tools - Essential
- Good understanding of data protection considerations in a data analysis and reporting role - Essential
Experience
- Generating scheduled reports - Essential
- Using database systems - Essential
- Involved in regular reporting, including the collation of different information sources with excellent attention to detail – Essential
- Applying policy to requests – Desirable
- Experience of working in a Business Services or corporate environment - Desirable
