Overview of project/role

 

The post holder will be expected to lead a group or be a member of a group of working staff undertaking routine or preventative maintenance on any machine maintained by the Division ensuring that all relevant safety and quality standards, rules and procedures are adhered to.

 

Key Accountabilities

 

  • Reporting on job progress.
  • Verifying the group’s attendance when leading the group.
  • Ensuring all work is performed correctly using set procedures, to the highest standard and to ensure the necessary paperwork is accurately processed.
  • Complying with the Company’s Safety and Quality Standards.
  • Ensuring compliance with the Divisions Safety Management System.
  • Acting as the Lift, Escalator and Pump Manager’s representative at all times

 

Skills, Knowledge & Experience

 

Skills

  • To follow correct procedure when booking into stations.
  • To follow correct procedure, without deviation, form stated operational procedures.
  • To demonstrate ability in filling out forms correctly.
  • To list the documentation required.
  • To complete the document to required standard.
  • To obtain electrical aware licence.
  • To demonstrate their ability to read, interpret mechanical or electrical drawings to an established standard, i.e. Croydon Phase Test)
  • To demonstrate ability in all aspects of mechanical or electrical maintenance through on-the-job assessment.

 

Knowledge

  • Knowledge of procedures.
  • Knowledge of safety and operational procedures for all assets.
  • Reading and writing skills.
  • Knowledge of documentation to be completed.
  • Ability to complete documentation.
  • Adequate reading and writing skills.
  • Ability to use the correct equipment, multi-meter/flute-meter.
  • Knowledge and ability to carry out electrical to mechanical maintenance activities on all contracted assets.

 

Experience

  • Experience of providing an emergency call out service
  • Experience of maintaining and repairing a range of lift types (traction, hydraulic and MIP)
  • Experience of undertaking LG1, LG5 and LG10 examinations
  • Experience of providing written reports to management within strict timescales
  • Experience of providing frontline delivery services
