Job title: Support Technician (Nights)
Salary: £55,708. Grade SE88.
Location – Hainault Depot, Ilford, London.
Contract- Permanent Nights 2300-0630. Monday-Friday.

Job Purpose
Reporting to a DLO Electrical Work Controller, Team Leaders and is responsible for ensuring that the DLO Electrical Assets are maintained and delivered into service in a safe and timely manner. In addition to this, is to support other business units whenever instructed to by their Line Manager.
The job holder must be committed to LUL’s General Safety Policy statement and the Company’s safety program and be aware of their contribution to the program, including the requirement to monitor safety performance and compliance with the systems established to assist in maintaining high safety standards.
The job holder must be familiar with the safety legislation that is relevant to them and comply with the necessary statutory requirements. These will include the Health & Safety at Work Act, Fire Precautions Act 1971 and other associated regulations.
Key Accountabilities
Must obtain and maintain the appropriate licenses/certificates for the role and team they work including;
• Basic Track Awareness / Competency (Stations or Depots) - Desirable
• PWT-EH or TH (Protecting workers on the track engineering hours or traffic hours) - Desirable
• Building / Room access courses (Machine room, Secure Rooms, Substations etc) - Desirable
• Plant equipment certification (PASMA / IPAF etc) - Desirable
Desirable is dependent on the team your in and the geographic position of the team in terms of appropriate levels of licensing or certification, where reasonable.
Gather information, Report lack of information to relevant persons, Assemble tools, equipment and materials and check tools, equipment and materials.
Must be able to deal promptly and effectively with problems within their control. Report to others, deviations which can not be solved. Follow the correct process/operations for the allocated task. Establish and maintain communication with the relevant persons. Assist in the testing of assets under supervision.
