The Role

 

We’re looking for a strategic, creative, and commercially minded B2B Marketing & Communications Manager to elevate our presence in the media and marketing industry.

In this pivotal role, you will:

  • Position TfL as a commercially ambitious and innovative brand owner to key stakeholders including the Department for Transport, Greater London Authority, and the wider media industry.
  • Raise our profile among brand decision-makers—Marketing Directors, CMOs, and agency leads—by showcasing our unique media and partnership opportunities.
  • Drive inbound leads and commercial interest across our core revenue streams: advertising, licensing, filming, and brand partnerships.

You’ll lead the development and execution of a multi-channel B2B marketing strategy, working with internal experts and our external partners (JCDecaux, Global, IMG) to deliver compelling content and campaigns that tell our story and inspire action.

 

 

Key Responsibilities 

 

Strategy & Planning

  • Develop and deliver a bold, two-year B2B marketing and communications strategy, which will clearly articulating how TfL assets and attributes add value to brands and advertisers.
  • Manage a programme of high-impact events, including webinars, conferences and award submissions.

 

Content & Storytelling

  • Create engaging, insight-led content across channels—blogs, social media, presentations, and more.
  • Champion our Commercial Network blog and other owned platforms.

 

Channel & Campaign Management

  • Own our CRM (Microsoft Dynamics), ensuring data integrity and GDPR compliance.
  • Plan and execute targeted email campaigns that convert.
  • Oversee production of all B2B marketing assets, including video and photography.

 

Industry Engagement

  • Build strong relationships with media partners, trade publications, and industry bodies (e.g. Advertising Association, WARC, ESA) to strengthen TfL’s position
  • Represent TfL at key industry events and forums.

 

 

What We’re Looking For

You’re a creative, energetic B2B marketer with a passion for media and a knack for storytelling. You are effective in matrix environment and know how to turn complex propositions into compelling narratives.

 

 

Essential requirements 

  • Proven B2B marketing experience in the media or advertising industry.
  • Strong understanding of the media and marketing ecosystem.
  • Expertise in CRM and email marketing (ideally Microsoft Dynamics).
  • Exceptional writing and editing skills, with a sharp eye for tone and audience.
  • Experience of managing multi-channel campaigns and stakeholder relationships.
  • A strategic mindset with commercial awareness and attention to detail.
