Job Title: Onboarding Advisor 

Salary: £30,000 - £31,750 + Excellent benefits including final salary pension 

Location: Stratford /Hybrid 

Contract Type: TfL Permanent 

Hybrid working within this role enables a balance of 50 per cent of time split between the office and home over a 4-week period. Hybrid working arrangements can evolve subject to business requirements.    

Job Purpose

Are you passionate about creating seamless onboarding experiences? Join our team as an Onboarding Advisor and play an important role in welcoming new employees to TfL and internal moves. You will work with Hiring Managers, candidates, in-house recruiters and our supplier who conducts the external screening. This role is available due to an internal promotion. 

Key Responsibilities 

• End-to-End Onboarding: Manage the complete onboarding process, addressing queries and ensuring smooth transitions for new joiners. 

• Compliance: Coordinate pre-employment screening activities with internal teams and third-party providers to meet TfL standards. 

• Engagement: Maintain continuous communication with future employees, providing necessary documents and training before their start date. 

• Data Management: Accurately enter and maintain data in HR systems, adhering to data protection guidelines. 

• Service Requests: Resolve Employee Services requests, ensuring customer satisfaction through various communication channels. 

• Technology Utilization: Use available technology to access employee lifecycle content and resolve issues efficiently. 

• Metrics: Deliver on agreed metrics for Employee Services. 

What We're Looking For 

Knowledge: 

• Recruitment and onboarding processes in a large company 

• Internal relationships and interfaces within TfL Employee Services 

• Employee lifecycle processes 

Skills: 

• Strong attention to detail (essential) 

• Excellent communication skills with internal and external stakeholders (essential) 

• Microsoft products and experience of using an Applicant Tracking System (ATS) (essential) 

• SAP (desirable) 

• Understanding of legal, regulatory, and policy parameters guiding recruitment and resourcing (desirable) 

• Ability to maintain and monitor HR systems for data accuracy (essential) 

• Service level agreement management and performance tracking (essential) 

Experience: 

• Employee onboarding experience (essential) 

• Right-to-work knowledge (desirable) 

• Service level agreement monitoring (essential) 

• Workflow management across different channels (phone/email/MS Teams) 

• Managing circa 20 candidate onboarding at a time (essential)
