Hybrid working within these roles allows no more than 50% of the time working from home over a 4-week period. Hybrid working arrangements can evolve subject to business requirements
Key Accountabilities
Your core duties will primarily consist of:
- Monitoring and reporting the financial risk of TfL’s investment and derivative counterparties, key TfL and Places for London suppliers. This includes the following:
- monitoring the financial health of our counterparties
- assessing any potential warning signs
- completing detailed counterparty credit reviews as required
- working with various stakeholders across the business
- preparing reports, dashboards, and presentations on supplier risk for internal stakeholders
- Providing advice on the need for parent company guarantees or performance bonds, and reviewing the proposed guarantor or bond provider
- Support in managing our relationship with credit rating agencies
You will also be supporting other areas of the Treasury team which could include the following:
- Supporting our £13bn borrowing portfolio by monitoring compliance to financial contracts and supporting relationships with key debt investors and lenders
- Support debt, liquidity, investment and risk management activities by providing insightful analysis, building complex financial models and making recommendations to support decision-making
- Respond flexibly to the broad needs of the department and support other areas of Treasury and Corporate Finance as required including cash and liquidity forecasting, debt funding, reporting, investment and audit requirements
Skills, Knowledge & Experience

- Financial modelling
- Financial analysis
- Financial and commercial due diligence, including familiarity with financial statements
- Communication and stakeholder management skills
- A keen eye for detail to ensure accuracy and quality of work
- Report writing and presentation skills (Microsoft Word and PowerPoint)
- Experience working in a credit review function of a medium or large organisation
- Experience working in a financial services or corporate finance environment
Knowledge
- Knowledge of credit analysis and financial due diligence, including the role of ratings agencies
- Relevant professional qualification (e.g. accountancy, treasury) or relevant work experience demonstrating equivalent knowledge, degree or equivalent (preferable but not a requirement)
- Excellent working knowledge of Excel to develop complex and flexible financial models
