Job Purpose
Are you a confident and organised individual with a high level of attention to detail seeking your next step to define and transform the future of how TfL keeps London, moving, working and growing through people?
You’ll join an established and multi award-winning team to help drive transformation by bringing your knowledge, skills and experience to create a ‘uniquely TfL’ recruitment and on-boarding experience for senior level talent. You will be responsible for assisting the executive recruitment team in strategically coordinating recruitment activities and provide support to the Senior Recruitment Consultants and Head of Talent Acquisition and Executive Recruitment.
This is a challenging, fast-paced role and the advisor is responsible for creating a uniquely TfL recruitment and onboarding experience for senior talent and we are looking for someone with significant experience. This involves high-touch interactions and interfaces with Chief Officers’ offices, senior stakeholders, board-level candidates, and hiring managers to deliver an outstanding recruitment experience.
Given the dynamic nature of the role, you as the advisor must adeptly and proactively manage shifting priorities and a busy workload. You must ensure rigorous recruitment governance is followed to help TfL achieve our recruitment objectives.
You’ll work with and support the wider Talent function in delivering successful recruitment activity to ensure TfL has the right talent, with the right skills, values and behaviours, in an inclusive organisation, representative of London, where all talents can thrive, delivering our business plan.
You’ll have a relentless focus on changing priorities in a resource constrained environment, having the ability to adapt to changes in circumstances and workloads at short notice and able to work under pressure and manage conflicting work activities.
Skills, knowledge and experience
What you’ll do:
- Responsible for supporting the Senior Executive Recruitment Consultants in the delivery of the end-to-end executive recruitment life cycle for predominately Senior roles. This may include supporting on recruitment such as Board level recruitment, working with third party agencies and supporting the wider GLA.
- Responsible for lead coordination of interview and assessment scheduling for executive office structures such as Chief Officer, senior hiring managers, panel members and candidates. Working collaboratively with the Chief Office support teams to deliver to agreed Service Level Agreements (SLAs) including managing workflows, governance, diary management and supporting in selecting a range of assessment and selection processes to enable the organisation to make informed choices about candidates.
- Accountable for developing and coordinating an effective system for handling work across executive recruitment team such as record, monitor and review candidate applications, ensuring that talent pool databases and systems are maintained accurately and updated with all recruitment activity in a timely manner with a high level of attention to ensure recruitment governance is followed correctly.
- Ensuring any data or information held on recruitment campaigns is captured accurately, in line with TfL policy and meet the requirements of recruitment auditing and is robust to meet responses to Mayor’s Questions.
- Ensure all executive recruitment delivery administration is accurate, compliant and of a high quality whilst adapting to multiple complex administrative requests from the team. Deliver a recruitment service against our scorecard, measured by key performance indicators and service level agreements, objectives and aligned to the demand plan.
- Support the delivery and facilitation of executive recruitment assessments, senior panel requirements and candidate introductions, providing a high degree of customer service and candidate experience. This includes the administration of online tests and psychometrics tests which may be required as part of the assessment process
What you’ll bring
- Excellent demonstrable attention to detail and ensures accuracy, review documentation, and identify and mitigate any recruitment risks (essential)
- Excellent communication skills; written, verbal and numerical with good numeracy and analytical thinking and awareness of recruitment governance and engaging with heads of level and above with internal/external stakeholders of varying complexity. Stakeholder level must be demonstrated. (essential)
- Excellent demonstrable ability to proactively organise and prioritise workloads effectively to meet challenging deadlines and work across multiple stakeholders (essential)
- Demonstrable experience is multitasking and supporting multiple members of a team with varying requirements(essential)
- Proactive and takes initiative in every aspect of their work, always looking to identify opportunities for improvement and efficiency
- Ability and confidence to build effective senior level relationships as well as colleagues across the organisation at all levels
- An understanding of HR policies, procedures and processes and confidential/sensitive material (essential)
- Experience of working with HR systems i.e. SAP, online recruitment tools etc. (essential)
- Experience using Success Factors (preferable)
- Facilitation and delivery of senior recruitment assessments (essential)
- Strong Microsoft Office including Excel skills (essential)
- Experienced with project management
- Ideally have experience of using LinkedIn or other attraction methods to source (essential)
