We’re looking for a passionate and people-focused Skills and Employment Delivery Advisor to help deliver life-changing employability programmes. These initiatives support Londoners facing the greatest barriers to work — helping them build confidence, gain skills, and secure meaningful employment.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Deliver and support employability programmes in partnership with internal teams and external partners.
- Design and run engaging talent events that connect participants with opportunities and showcase emerging talent.
- Build strong relationships with stakeholders across TfL to create impactful work placements and volunteering opportunities.
- Champion inclusion and social mobility, ensuring our programmes reflect best practice and reach those who need them most.
- Maintain accurate talent data in line with GDPR and support programme communications and documentation.
- Promote success stories, working with internal comms and partners to share inspiring case studies.
- Support recruitment and selection of programme participants alongside delivery partners.

- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills

- Experience in designing or delivering skills-based interventions
- A proactive, improvement-focused mindset
- Awareness of government and mayoral skills policy

Skills, Knowledge and Experience
Skills
- Understands and can apply jurisdictional law/regulation and agreed policy in relation to recruitment, resourcing and talent.
- Ability to develop skills and employment development interventions to address specific aspects of structure, capability, systems, process or culture Understands a range of approaches to resource talent and how to deliver effective talent and succession solutions.
- Able to gather data from a variety of sources and interpret to provide analysis to inform credible conclusions using visuals.
- Ability to assist clients in diagnosing their needs. Demonstrates understanding of client expectations and agrees to success criteria. Interviews stakeholders. Solves technical problems and provides tactical support to middle managers.
Knowledge
- External developments and best practice in skills and employment
- Working within a talent framework
- External developments and best practice in employability programmes for those with barriers into employment
- An awareness of Government policy on the skills and education agenda
Experience
Experience in supporting the delivery of successful skills and employment programmes including but not limited to; employability programmes for populations such as work returners, ex offenders, refugees, ex military, and programmes for those with barriers into the work place
