Background  
This role sits with Transport Services which is responsible for delivering and supporting all IT applications for all travel modes, including the underground and bus network. The team forms part of the wider Technology, Products & Operations Department which on its own, consists of over 1600 employees.  
    
The Role  
This role focuses on TfL’s now essential Body Worn Video service, with over seven thousand devices across the TfL estate in regular use. These devices are a critical deterrent in keeping our front-line colleagues safe from harassment and violence in the workplace and have been used successfully to aid prosecution where the deterrent fails.  
  
The Application Engineer will provide second line (and where required third line) support to TfL’s environments (business critical services for TfL e.g., Body Worn Video system.) proactive identification of issues, fulfilment of service requests and problem management in accordance with the agreed service level targets.  Out of Hours support, support of weekend or out of hour’s maintenance or release activities will be required for certain applications.  
  
Key Skills and Experience  

Essential:
Experience working with Motorola Video Management Software in a complex multi-site environment

Industry experience in an application support Body Worn Video environment  
Working knowledge of ITIL V4 Service Management   
Knowledge of current/emerging technologies and processes employed in Enterprise-wide IT services. This would ideally include having worked with at least one of the following applications: Body Worn Video  
Knowledge the following – Body Worn Video systems.  
Excellent oral and written communication skills at a business and technical level.  
Knowledge of solving and communicating complex problems relating to Body Worn Video  
Communicates clearly and is skilled at adapting their communication style to meet the needs of the audience.  
Demonstrable customer service skills in multiple environments  
Demonstrable experience of working in a complex multi-site environment dealing with business applications and real time implementation systems.  
Well-developed experience of issues and incident management and working within agreed SLAs.
