Overview of project/role
The Content Server team in Transport for London is responsible for Administrating the Content Server system including the different modules incorporated and third-party solutions integrated with the system. The team develop, support, and maintain the complete solution. The team comprises of highly technical members who works closely as a team and individually. Presently, the team is preparing for future upgrade of the system and integration project with third parties using API.
As a senior application engineer the ideal candidate will primarily be responsible resolving Incidents and fulfilling Work Orders, development of workflows, reports, project activities and bug fixes. The team works closely, share knowledge, and collaborate to deliver. The role requires an excellent team working skills and taking ownership of issues until resolution.
Role purpose:
The role is focused on technical administration of Content Server system, Open Text version upgrades, development of solutions with Workflows, WebReports, Power shell scripts. The ideal candidate should have proven experience in Content Server Administration, migrations, Development and PowerShell scripting. The role provides 2nd and 3rd line support including dealing with Business/Projects and Third-Party suppliers. Monitoring any updates from suppliers taking recommended actions, resolving Incidents and fulfilment of work orders are part of the role purpose. In addition, your will be supporting the team manager as a senior member of the team.
Key Accountabilities
- Responsible for end-to-end upgrade of Content Server from version CS21 to CS24
- Preparing the detailed migration plan including reviewing HLD and LLD
- Review the existing platform and recommend the specification of the new environment as per the supplier guidance.
- Installation, Configuration, Data Migration, Testing and Documentation of the newly upgraded platform.
- Researching and working with suppliers to resolve any technical issues arise during and after the upgrade.
Knowledge & Experience
- Strong functionality knowledge of Content Server version 21 and above
- Experienced in administrating the Content Server system.
- Experience of modules within Content Server system.
- Demonstratable experience of upgrading the system to newer versions.
- Experience of configuring and supporting the system on mobile platform.
- Knowledge of Delivery Server (OpenText website Management)
- Oracle Database analysis skills, System Admin Skills in OpenText ECM Products (Content Server, OpenText Content Server Mobile, Delivery server, Brava) Workflow development, Data Migration using third-party tools.
- Strong and demonstrable experience of Content Server Search
- Strong experience of OpenText Delivery Server
- Experience of Configuring and Administrating OTDS and SAML + Azure AD
- Experience with development tools and languages.
- Knowledge of Load Balancers
Skills
- OpenText Content Server, Oscript, Restapi, Java, PowerShell, Brava, Blazon, OTDS for SSO (SAML + azure AD), SQL queries for reporting, WebReports, Delivery server, Web Services, Elink (integration exchange online 365 (SMTP, POP), Oracle.
