Salary: £74-79k (dependant on skills & experience)

Overview of project/role 

We’re looking for a Senior Developer with deep expertise in React.js to join our dynamic product team. The role holder provides general and/or specialist expertise to ensure that the software developed meets the quality expectations of stakeholders and standards expected by TfL.. You'll work closely with cross-functional team - including product managers, designers, and backend developer, to build seamless user experiences using modern frontend technologies.

Key Accountabilities  

• Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code following best practices
• Collaborate with UI/UX designers to translate wireframes and designs into high-quality code
• Optimize applications for maximum speed, performance, and responsiveness
• Mentor junior developers and conduct code reviews to uphold high standards
• Work closely with backend teams to integrate APIs and define data requirements
• Stay current with the latest trends in frontend development and React ecosystem

Skills 

• 5+ years of experience in web frontend development
• 3+ years of hands-on experience with React.js
• C#/.NET 
• SQL Server/CosmosDB 
• Proficiency in HTML5, CSS3, and modern JavaScript (ES6+)
• Familiarity with TypeScript, RESTful APIs
• Git proficiency and experience with agile development workflows
• Test Driven Development 

Nice to Have:

• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure)
• Knowledge of accessibility standards and Secure Coding best practices.
• Developing in ASP.NET MVC & Web API 
• Working with either Scrum or Kanban
