This role follows a hybrid working model, with at least 50% of time spent in the office over a 4-week period.

Role Overview

As a Business Analyst Team Lead, you will work collaboratively with other Technology delivery teams and TfL stakeholders to help deliver reliable, sustainable, and secure technology.  This is a fantastic opportunity to deploy your technical and leadership skills in a fast-paced environment.    

 

You will:

  • lead the delivery of Business Analysis across one or more across diverse portfolios (such as Cybersecurity, Payments, and Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP)); utilising your extensive analysis expertise to shape, manage and quality assure the work on large, complex projects. 
  • manage relationships with sponsors and other key stakeholders to identify the opportunities pipeline to develop new or enhanced solutions that satisfy business needs.  
  • manage the effective utilisation of resources and ensure quality deliverables are produced by the team on time and within project budgets. 
  • provide all aspects of people management for 7+ Business Analysts; setting performance objectives that enable smooth functioning of the team, whilst supporting the development of your team members and that of the wider team.   
  • champion specific initiatives that support wider team strategies; working with the team whilst using your ability to understand the bigger picture to share your knowledge and experience in a dynamic and collaborative environment.  

 

What You Bring 

  • Experience of leading multiple Business Analysts within a complex organisation with a range of stakeholders.  
  • Strong influencing and relationship building skills with the ability to communicate effectively at all levels across the organisation and externally.  
  • Ability to manage a high performing team; coaching and developing BAs to increase our service capability.  
  • Expert knowledge and experience in delivering Business Analysis services on technology development and procurement projects – including techniques, methods, tools and processes.  
  • Good knowledge and confidence working in both Agile and Waterfall environments with tangible examples of delivering change through technology.
  • Resource Management experience across all aspects, including work allocation, performance feedback and quality assurance.  
  • Strong problem solving, lateral thinking and analytical skills.  
  • Excellent attention to detail and proven ability to quality assure deliverables to maintain high quality.  
  • Excellent information processing, interpreting and project management skills.

Interview Schedule 

We will run a two-stage interview process designed to give you the opportunity to showcase both your experience and technical skills. 

  • Stage 1: Virtual Competency-Based Interview 
    Week commencing Monday 02 March 2026
  • Stage 2: In-Person Technical Assessment
    Week commencing Monday 16 March 2026

Candidates who progress pass the first stage, will be invited to complete a technical assessment at our office in North Greenwich. 

 

We endeavour to give candidates as much notice as possible however some interviews/ assessments will be organised at short notice and will require a degree of flexibility.
