Overview of project/role 

 

This is a safety critical role so you will need to get clearance from our Occupational Health team before you start.

 

The Elizabeth Line has transformed travel across the city, boosting the economy by billions of pounds and supporting thousands of new jobs and homes. Rail for London Infrastructure (RfLI) part of Transport for London (TfL) is responsible as Landlord / Infrastructure Manager for central section stations, the tunnel environment, shafts, portals.

 

Overview of project/role

 

An opportunity has arisen for a Senior Maintenance Delivery Technician (SMDT) – MEP Electro Mechanical pumps to join the Elizabeth line ensuring the successful delivery and operation of London's newest railway.

Primarily the Senior Maintenance Delivery Technician shall assume a role faulting & maintenance role, providing team leadership and managing safety.

You will be expected to work to a shift pattern which shall include unsociable hours and weekend working.

The Senior Maintenance Delivery Technician is responsible for the delivery of safety of line inspections, asset monitoring, maintenance, like for like renewal and improvements works. This will include asset fault response, infrastructure inspection, asset data management and the safe delivery of reliability centred maintenance tasks.

You will be provided a high standard of training tailored to gaining the competencies to related to your role.

 

Key Accountabilities

 

  • Leading the delivery of maintenance tasks as defined by the RFLi Engineering team, complying with defined RFLi standards, processes, procedures, and performance to be delivered. Part of the fault rectification team and handing back the railway to safe operation following maintenance and works completion.
  • Deliver maintenance deployment planning with operations colleagues, ensuring that the operational requirements align with the maintenance engineering asset management requirements and deliver a compliant, safe, operable, and maintainable railway.
  • To ensure that Rail for London Infrastructure (RFLi) fully address the specification, planning, execution and quality of the maintenance engineering and safety management requirements. This is part of the asset management strategy and plan to deliver the required asset whole life, Reliability Availability Maintainability (RAM) and Remote Condition monitoring.

 

Essential Skills, Knowledge & Experience

 

  • Level 3 NVQ Diploma in Electro technical Services (Electrical Maintenance) (2357-23) or equivalent. Or level 3 NVQ Diploma in Plumbing
  • JIB Graded Approved Electrician or Plumber in installation and/or Maintenance.
  • Desirable LVAP qualification and experience
  • Undertake Installation, Maintenance, Modification and repair of Pumps, pump control panels, PLC and associated pumps in pits – Foul, Non – Foul and track side systems.
  • Desirable Level 3 Award in Electrical Wiring Regulations BS7671:2018 or industry related qualifications with a Electro Mechanical background
  • Substantial knowledge of railway safety-related standards regime and processes
