Overview of project/role
The Elizabeth Line has transformed travel across the city, boosting the economy by billions of pounds and supporting thousands of new jobs and homes. The line Elizabeth Line is named after the UK's longest serving monarch when it became operational. Rail for London Infrastructure (RfLI) part of Transport for London (TfL) will be responsible as Landlord / Infrastructure Manager for central section stations, the tunnel environment, shafts, portals and a number of surface stations. We are seeking to recruit in a highly skilled dynamic maintenance team to take us into operation, and beyond.
As the Real Time Infrastructure Manager, you will play an essential role in the Elizabeth Line control room, helping to keep the railway operational.
Key Accountabilities
- Monitoring infrastructure performance
- Providing tactical direction
- Directing and managing maintenance teams
- Efficient response to infrastructure failures
- Leading technical response within the route operations centre
- Ensure the impact of failures on customer is minimised
Knowledge
- Working knowledge Control Centre equipment
Skills
- Ability to establish a course of action for self and others, managing time, resources and surrounding circumstances
- Ability to collate detailed data and produce recommendations
- Has established risk management skills to consistently make safe, effective and timely decisions and action under stress and during abnormal working hours and conditions
- Excellent communication skills with proven negotiation and influencing skills
- Ability to use computer-based facilities
- Ability to lead teams
- Ability to work to clear and concise operating instructions and procedures
Experience
- Leading and communicating decisive action in real time
- Planning and implementing contingency arrangements in real time
- Working within control, logistics or operational environments
