Job Purpose
We are developing and implementing significant changes in Reward at TfL. This includes in pay management and our journey towards pay transparency, rethinking our approach to our performance pay schemes and reinvigorating our benefits and recognition through actively listening to our people’s needs whilst maintaining our overall focus on affordability.
Needing to deliver change whilst continuing to meet the flexibility required and the high standards demanded in delivering our day-to-day delivery means that we are now looking to strengthen our team at all levels (Reward Analyst, Reward Specialist and Senior Reward Manager). This will help us achieve our aspirations for Reward and to truly deliver a compelling proposition for all our colleagues.
As one of a small team of Reward Specialists focused on compensation you will support two Senior Reward Managers to deliver on the wide range of compensation based annual and cyclical reward activities you would expect in a large organisation, as well as working on projects to evolve and deliver our reward strategy to better support our need for financial sustainability whilst providing a cohesive, fairer and more transparent reward proposition for our people overall. You will be supported by a small team of Reward Analysts, who also report to the Senior Reward Manager.
Your expertise in reward processes, pay management, pay gap reporting, experience of working in a large, complex unionised environment (private or public sector) and demonstration of your ability to manage reward projects will help you stand out as a candidate.
Key accountabilities
- Evaluate and design reward frameworks for compensation, benefits and recognition for the organisation to ensure that it delivers the intended outcomes to the business and our people
- Ensure the successful delivery of key reward, compensation processes including benchmarking, annual pay reviews, pay gap reporting and performance awards aligned to reward plans supported by the Reward Analyst/s. Ensure collaboration with HR Operations and Business Partnering to understand requirements and effectively meet the needs of the business
- Provide robust reward data and guidance and advice on impacts and risks to support union and/or staff negotiations ensuring availability of analytics in support of reward and benefits development, governance, compliance and benchmarking activities.
- Develop external networks and work collaboratively with a range of contacts and/or providers to benchmark TfL's position against external industry and market across the full total reward and benefits package
- Manage and maintain relationship with 3rd party suppliers including contractual, commercial and procurement activities.
- Support the implementation of any potential changes to our wider reward, recognition and benefits frameworks.
